Your Village Lighting wreath / garland has 3 wires; The remote IR sensor, the light connection, and the AC Adapter. Shown in the below graphic, the AC Adapter connection plugs into your AC Adapter Plug.
NOTE: You will feel a slight click when the plug is fully inserted and properly connected.
